Spring fever has sprung and time to get out and shoot! I meet up with other local photog enthusiasts down by the U of M to visit Frans Lanting photography art exhibit. Afterward we went to Dinkytown on a photowalk (walk around and shoot pictures). Here are some of my favorite pictures.
Soccer Superstar
Tai has a school arts fair coming up in early April. We decided to put together a little modeling shoot to display his character and his natural ability for posing. He really does have this natural ability to model, sometimes I give him a little direction and that is all he needs. I am sure no one else will have the same project.
The day started out really nice and partly sunny, then progressively got worse. By the time we got out there it dropped 20 degrees, nothing but clouds, and the wind picked up something fierce. I had stuff blowing around everywhere and the wind was blowing over my lightstands. We also had to drive around to three different soccer fields before we found any fields with nets in the goals.

Magazine Covers
These magazine covers are a lot of fun for both parents and kids. So much better then those boring folios or buttons you receive every year. Mix it up with a cool 8×10 glossy magazine cover.

Tai Doing His Thang in Studio
Tai really love the camera and loves to pose and he is pretty good at it too. Check it out!
scary old farm house
I had been eyeing this old farm house for a few months now. I have been scoping out areas and really itching to shoot outdoors.
Almost five years ago when we first moved to Brooklyn Park I remember buying corn from a teenage girl that lived in that farm house. It was the last standing farm house for a few miles around. The area was fairly brand new with new housing, churches, businesses, and schools.
For a few short days it was beautiful and I took both boys out to do a quick shoot. Tai was really scared and I could tell he wanted to run back into the van almost right away. Kwan was braver, but was only wearing a t-shirt and he became cold fast. The shoot was really quick, but we ended up getting a few good shots. I hope to get back there soon.
